I never wake up THIS early. Ever. Why was today any different?

Turns out that it was more than just a wonderful morning.

Turns out that it was more than just a wonderful morning. As I hurried put the finishing touched on my hair and makeup, I quickly grabbed a leash and headed outside. Princess Sophia was eager to get out, so we rushed across the parking lot, my fear peaking as I saw that the usually full lot was now nearly empty. We rushed back to the apartment, I put the Princess in her kennel, all the while, frantically searching for the clock. How could I have been so dumb as to have not plugged in any clocks yet? I reached for my phone, but it was gone, in fact, my bedside table was empty. Looking down, on dampened carpet, was my phone.

My alarm. My texting. My internet. My telephone. My connection to the outside world. GONE.

Frantically thinking of anything that I could do to revive my phone from its untimely death, all was lost. I hadn't even bought groceries yet, so no rice and with no internet and I was incapable of finding quick solutions for water damaged phones. But the day was looking up, I could still go to work to call my dad to call or email my family about the events of the morning.
