To create the dramatic lighting effects I used a bright led flashlight reflected off of a large flat white object (in this case a white windshield shade) to diffuse the light and make that soft glow. Various other light sources were used as they were found. These included street lamps, car headlights, and flashlights diffused with paper and rubber bands.

LEFT: Is a screenshot from a deleted scene where Jacob was disguised to act a mysterious bystander. He lit up an imaginary cigarette using a lighter bought from 711 along with the nachos for the film.

RIGHT: You may be wondering why the main actor filled a backpack with rocks to go jogging. Well, the answer is as simple as it was added weight for jogging. Believe it or not, I have seen this done before. All you have to do is fill your backpack with rocks, pebbles, houshold items, and mysterious objects you heard drop from the sky, and you're good to go!
