If you use renderings of these models in some public manner (e.g., on the web) please including the acknowledgement "3D asteroid model courtesy of Scott Hudson, Washington State University." I would also appreciate it if you would include a link or reference to these web pages.
toutatis.obj | This is the digital model in Wavefront/Alias OBJ format. There is a freeware program called "Crossroads" that will convert this into various other formats. |
toutatis.pov | This is a povray scene file. If you have povray installed on a Windows 95/98 system you need only double click on this file to begin rendering. (Read the Povray documentation for other operating systems.) You can play with the setting in this file to make your own customized renderings. |
toutatis.inc | This is the digital model in povray format (using the "smooth_triangle" contruct). It is read by "toutatis.pov" during rendering. |
toutatis.ini | This is a povray ini file containing a few parameters telling povray how to do the rendering. Your rendering might look funny if you don't tell povray to use this ini file. |
toutatis.jpg | This is an image of the rendered model. It's what you should get if you run povray on toutatis.pov. |
